Worden Report 12/04...

<I was prepared to write today off as just another random fluctuation within some vague and indefinable trading range. But actually, there were a number of things worth noticing. For one, the Nasdaq Composite hit a new post September 21 closing high. Also, volume increased on advances by the three major averages. Next, stocks up at least a point on increasing volume outnumbered their counterparts on the downside, 111 to 44. This may seem like a so-so statistic, but it is only the third time it has happened since Sept 21, and the other two times had smaller differentials. And here's an unusual one. For the first time since September 5, more industry groups have advanced over a 12-month period than fell. It's not a whopping majority (121-117), but the fact that it is a majority is unusual.
So maybe we are going to sail through Dow 10,000 and Nasdaq 2000 in short order; I suspect that will be the last hurrah before the correction. -DW>

You're right about that. This is definitely 99-00 repeat all over again.

(emphasis mine)

Agreed. But an expanded portion of the "this" you refer to includes capitulation statements or observations from bears like the one you just made.

I honestly think bears are being set up right now, and that December will end up considerably weaker, especially on the tech side. I believe the only reason we haven't broken to the downside yet is because of the massive short positions, especially in options and other derivatives. Just my opinions, of course.

A few more 3-5% NDX up days should swing the pendulum, but it never quite works out that way, does it. ;-)

Good luck.
