Stan, The serious fighting involving americans is just beginning. Many taliban and el quaida in the mountains. A guerilla war of sorts is just beginning now or in the spring. We need to preempt as much of the guerilla war as we can. Reports indicate we are close to bin laden. Hope this is so because with him and top leadership gone guerillas may be more likely to give up or more likely try to escape afghanistan. At some point we must take kandahar and i am beginning to believe that american marines will be in on this one. mike
