S N A P S H O T -- Bulls stay in driver's seat Shares poised for additional upside By Julie Rannazzisi, CBS.MarketWatch.com Last Update: 7:24 AM ET Dec 5, 2001 NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- The bulls are looking to stay in pole position Wednesday with additional upside in store for shares once the opening bell sounds. The December S&P 500 futures contract climbed 2.90 points, or 0.3 percent, and was trading about 5.30 points above fair value, according to HL Camp & Co. Nasdaq futures jumped 18.00 points, or 1.1 percent, while the Dow Jones Indicative Index added 25 points, or 0.3 percent, to 9,917. Treasurys lost significant ground after putting on a nice show on Tuesday. The 10-year Treasury note was off 1/2 to yield ($TNX) 4.72 percent while the 30-year government bond erased 17/32 to yield ($TYX) 5.24 percent. On the data front, Wednesday will see the release of the NAPM non-manufacturing index for November. Check economic calendar and forecasts. In the currency sector, the dollar rose 0.1 percent to 124.13 yen while the euro added 0.2 percent to 89.19 cents. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
