7:26AM Orchid Biosciences (ORCH) 4.02: Announces acquisition of Lifecodes Corp for approx. $26.5 mln in stock. With the acquisition of the provider of identity genomics testing for forensics and paternity, ORCH expects to more than double its current top line, achieving revenues upwards of $55 mln in 2002. Sees achieving profitability in early 2004, a yr earlier than originally planned.
