o that history of the market propaganda,ala Peter Lynch--is a myth.56 years out of 100 years of the 20th century were secular bear territory.You just have to pray your aren't old at the wrong time.Anyone over 60 was annihilated for life by the 29 crash and the 25years it took to get even.No ONE ever considers how those at or in retirement are slaughtered by these events. Too many still are spoiled and awash in that mindset--talk to me 2 years from now. i live amongst a generation as out of contact with reality that has ever existed--how many on this thread can remember 1966 through 1982?Do you think the market was kind to people close to or near retirement,problem is now many millions more of people have their retirement nailed to the market.We are the most market addicted nation in the world living in a dreamland that it,Mr.Market,was made for their well-being--history says it can get vicious,Mr.Market can.Max
