That the finances of the greatest republic in history are founded on a cesspool of corruption and evil is an outrage, a scandal of the highest proportions. To compound the scandal, if polled 95% of Americans would agree that the above statement is no exaggeration. Yet year after year, decade after decade, the stench gets worse. It is to the point that I cannot reconcile the above two paragraphs with the claim that this is a government of by and for the people anymore.
