What is an IT? The guy who suggested the Ranger has an '89 S-10 and suggested that, but as I say the GM dealers around here are getting pink-slipped. For me, that's a major problem as I practically lived in one dealer's service bay working on my cars during the winter. I had a key, he let me store my old cars upstairs, out of the way. I could go in Sat/Sundays if I liked and tinker.

In return, I used him for service and new cars. Now I have to drive twenty minutes to a superstore and actually make appointments for service. Been doing it my way for 25 years, this K-Mart stuff I do not wish to get used to so it has to be Ford.

Also, recall that I put about 8 to 10 thousand miles a year on my regular machine. The pick-up will only get used as a spare for Junior and Killer and the occasional light haul for me. The two other cars (that only I use) get about a thousand miles a year between them, so I guess the truck might get three thousand. Perhaps four if the kids use it more often than I expect.

As for the rough ride, the normal long trip may be from the garage to the house and back. 3 miles round trip.

Judging all of that, is the 6 still the better way to go and is the F150 still the smarter play?

On the Exploder, I would rather she get a Ford Grand whatever-the-heck they call 'em at Furd. (Never thought about the Gran Marquis). But this woman buys into the hype. She has to drive it, I don't care.

Killer is probably going to get a standard shift 1992. Not a new one, no sense in giving a boy a new car.

The Ford Granada was one of the all time best automobiles made, bar none! Classic styling, frequently confused with the Mercedes, and rich Corinthian leather-looking vinyl (or was that the Chrysler Cordoba?)
