There is little risk in shorting non-performing stocks at this point of the cycle, IMO. At this point of the rally, the averages are irrelevant.

I am not looking to short CSCO although I still maintain it will be a single digit stock by end of 2002.

Well, I went short at 21.5 today. We will see. I agree with
NY boy that this rally will poop, and real soon.

<<So a short right now is begging to get you eaten.>>

You weren't reading the tea leaves.

JNPR going down the toilet, should be under $5 as far as I am concerend. CSCO to follow through to high single digits. This is an industry wide problem and prices will a be coming down in anything telco related.

Greenspan is f*cking it up again, trying to manage the economy - a dozen interest rate cuts and all we do is create financing deals for companies which will go under in 4 years instead of 2 - unbelievable. Now I understand why many in the U.S. were against creating a national Fed.

There is no "premium" supplier in a severe recession (yes, it's going to get ALOT worse) - everybody shops at Wal-Mart. Market is realizing it. I got a goose-egg for my bonus this year. There are no cheers in Mudville today.
