We are getting close to some old resistance lines - 2057, 2078, and 2103. I think 2057 may be a goner, and maybe we could gap up close to 2078 to take us to 2103 on follow through.

After the first hour, the volume dropped down to a more reasonable rate. It seems that other than short covering, we have a normal volume day.

However, the short covering has brought the indexes up to important levels that attract more buying.

Zeev, Any thoughts on individual tax selling?
IMHO this rally may change tax selling behavior.
Many people are still deep underwater on many big stocks. They had losses they didn't want to take because they couldn't write them off. Now they have gotten some gains. The way I see it that they will sell both in 2001.
Thanx
