I'm wondering if there's a way to have the best of both worlds (TA and value)? Using the T/FIF portfolio as an example, instead of buying VGNX as it was falling in a downtrend, perhaps buy it when it breaks the downtrend line or moves above a given moving average, say a 50 day m/a?

I guess with a stock like KDUS the idea is to wake up one morning and see that X corp. has bought it for stock equivalent to $3/sh., so if you didn't buy it when it was down, you're screwed.
