Not sure on that. I've considered the US characteristics pretty carefully. Anecdotally, the Brits have impressed me quite a bit. I find it a challenge to keep up with many of them. Hmmm..... Maybe you're looking at too limited a range of indicators. Oh, that's right. The Brits invented the transistor. And the IC. And designed that huge range of ICs. And invented the microprocessor. And the assembly line. And ..... I'm not saying the Brits aren't good too; they've proven their mettle. But I think you underestimate your countrymen.
