That's not surprising but somewhat unfortunate, because one of the trends I've been following closely for the past twenty years or so is science's gradual coming to terms with what we've been discussing here. We live in a transitional period wherein science is finding God.

My belief as to why this is happening is that one of the ways that civilizations end themselves is by allowing their technological evolution to get too far ahead of their spiritual evolution. Science in the 21st century is on the verge of breakthroughs which will make our prior technology look scarcely removed from stone knives. Without a corresponding leap in spiritual development, however, our ability to resist destroying ourselves with such knowledge is in serious doubt. Evidence suggests that man has reached this crossroads before and failed. We hope to succeed this time.
