Yeah, you'd think it would be easy to get to the "root" of things in this market using turnips and potatoes.

I just saw a post on the CF e-wave zone from the Dow in Aug. 1987 that showed a stick just like today's and yesterday's that had the base as short term support for at least through expiration and a week after that. After the support broke, it formed overhead resistance, and then the wicked drop came.

That same chart showed the next day as a higher high, but a lower close. The following day tested the bottom of the stick like today's, so maybe that's a low Friday. The following week mostly had higher highs, but most of the sticks were fairly long, indicating a kind of distributive volatility.

Whatever. I'm just trying to learn from history. From what I can see, the easy gains are over with. It's going to be like going through a jungle the rest of the way.

I think Larry's channel may hold through expiration. After that, I'm not so sure.
