Addi,

I'll take this one step further, the focusing on the negative side...

Refresh you memory by watching this video and audio:
attacked911.tripod.com

This link will take a couple of minutes to load on a network, but about 15 minutes or so with a 56k modem. But it is well worth the wait to watch.

Once you watch and listen, then I dare someone to ask why we are focusing on the negative verses.

Why do we focus on the negative? There is so many heart wrenching parts, but listen to the specific part when the women says she's trapped in the building, that she loves who she is speaking to. Look at the pictures closely. Listen to the sound bites!

Think she was, or her family now, is wondering about the positive verses of the Qu'ran? I think, rather, they are asking why, and wanting to know if this slaughter is justified in the Qu'ran!

This is the reason we focus on the verses we do!

God Bless,
IGIT

Addi,

I haven't read the entire thread so thanks for giving your explanation. I said those things because typically people who want to defame Islam pose as someone who appears to be genuinely interested in the religion. However, they only ask questions with negative connotations and just keep hammering away with the same inane logic.

As long as this forum doesn't turn into a bunch of people doing Quranic searches on the web for words such as "kill," cutting and pasting those verses into messages, and then saying, "Hey, explain this," then we are on the right track. If, however, the thread does degrade into that, then it should more aptly be retitled "Trying to defame Islam" not "Understanding Islam."
