And that Duron is outselling celeron in Western Europe.

Maybe that 30% is closer than we thought...

If 35 million PCs are sold in Q4, AMD needs to sell 10.5 million to make it to a 30% share.

1 in 10 chance?

OTOH, 25% market share is looking doable, even likely.

But Sparse and dense as he's using the terms still don't. When I use Sparse I mean a variety of conditions from essentially empty to full but without multiple look-ups for a single entry, and when I use dense I mean out of hash addresses had to be created to handle the data(and that can happen even in an essentially empty table if the hash is incorrectly chosen).

But I would use both in the context of a hash table and neither in the context of a jmp table.

In either case I continue to think they're chasing this thing in the wrong direction. At the very least they ought to be able to take the .asm and strip out the irrelavent stuff to get to the core of what they're trying to figure out, then publish, compile, and execute that.

And if they're blood and gore types they ought to be able to take the exe from the .asm compile and tune that also.

PS -- My Internet connection is slower tonight than I can ever remember it being. It looks to me like ATT is having real problems swallowing @home.
