We lost a coffee shopper today. Not a frequent one as he couldn't drive. Freddy used to bring him now and again. Doc Morgan. He was known as Doc but he was Raymond like anyone knew that. He fought in WWII, came home, married, bought the house he died in. His wife was crippled so he took a job as a street painter so he could work at night. He probably painted more lines on more streets than anyone ever did. Big guy and had a fearsome voice to the end. Nicest person you could have known though. Loved golf and won the city tournament 3 times. No fussing around lining up his shots, he walked up and hit them. Big hole in the coffee shop now.
