SUTLA KHIL, Afghanistan: Ground and air attacks were underway Thursday against fighters loyal to Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda network in the Tora Bora area of eastern Afghanistan, reported sources.

One US aircraft dropped five bombs on the mountains near here as local tribal forces directed tanks fire on al-Qaeda positions. The Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) also reported that US bombing triggered a huge forest fire Thursday in the mountains near bin Laden's suspected cave hideout.

KOOL news, worth at least 500 Dow points. OBL's elimination is worth another 600 points, with 500 already accounted for. Omar should tack on another 200 pts. Total 1,200 Dow pts from today's 1,100 close, or 1,220 in a few weeks. OBL obliteration by Afghans' Northern Alliance would be momentous beyond wonders and should be worth another 500 pts, and that should take DJI to 1,270 - 1,300. Dow Momentum is powerful with another resistance to be broken soon enough to give confirmation signal of another bull market start.

I think this bull market is to celebrate western world's ability to cooperate when faced with adversity. Even Russia is cooperating and wanting very much to join world's peace time prosperity. In retrospect, those unable to cooperate and not willing to join human progress would be defeated so much more efficiently than the initial prognosis. This momentous human event, where all progressive minded people have the resolve and determination that human progress cannot be stopped, only side tracked momentarily. It has been an awakening, particularly for the progressive minded people.

Much work needs to be done in highly traditionalist Muslim countries, that even Saudi prince has shown to have poor judgement and out of touch with reality. Most in the Muslim world never considered and have misunderstood the resolve and fighting spirit of the Afghans for their independence and freedom from religious tyrannical Muslim rule. Most Muslims, as individuals, want the same opportunity for good life, pride, prosperity, and participate in human progress of the 21st century.

I believe most Pakistanis will lead the Muslim world to the 21st century. Musharraf will clean house and his government will no longer tolerate religious schools that only breed narrow mindedness with slanted mindsets. Muslim clerics in Pakistan and elsewhere are stunned at the turn of events taking place in Afghanistan.

Musharraf will have to do more house cleaning to get rid of Pakistan's corruption and repressive socioeconomics under the veil of traditionalism.

Afghans have shown that there is no such Muslim world where Muslims not only suppress but also annihilate their fellow Muslims but also their own history. All this religious traditionalism is a bunch of PHOOEY! Local and tribal cultures are more powerful force than Islamism. I hope their two decades of experience will not go to waste. Traditions are good to reminisce, but has a higher value to guide them wisely for the future of their society.
