Correct. This is not the enhanced version:

The processor's FPU operates at half the frequency of the processor, meaning 466 MHz.

However, there seem to be a few bits of information in the article that clashes with my recollection of VIA products. Maybe JC can lend some insight if he read this?

The explanation for the above may be the very last line of the article:

Cyrix' long awaited Gobi/Jedi processor, an update to their aging 6x86 core, was to be released as VIA's Cyrix III. However, there were problems with ramping up the frequency, which caused the Cyrix III to be reintroduced as a Centaur-based product.

There could easily have been changes without me noticing it. VIA is not a company I follow too closely.

I would also speculate that the VIA's problems might not be entirely unrelated with TSMC's rumored .13µm process problems&#133
