Jan,
I hope you didnt take my advice the wrong way. And I am not a trader nor do i have the temperment or guts it requires. The short case on amat is so strong at these level it may blind folks to the world out there which is following the news as AG works the presses each nite and as the cost of a gallon of gas moves into the pennies. For whatever the time period, this news trumps FA. TA must have recognized yesterday as a breakout if only in a bear market. Jacob has talked about three price points this rally can take us too. 2080, 2350, 3000(+ or -). Good luck. mike

ST trading:

Having clearly broken above the 40 resistance level, I see AMAT going to 50, and then doing a random walk within the old 40-50 range, for a prolonged period. I wouldn't short AMAT until we get to the 48-50 area.

I intend on holding my long positions (in AMAT and others), and trading the range on NVLS (short), JNPR (short), and TXN (long). Since NVLS will closely mimic AMAT, I can eliminate my sector and market risk in AMAT, by being short NVLS.
