It was particularly funny to see Kenedey talk of the potential illegality of the Military Tribunals (which is ridiculous), and then go into a gun control issue where he asked Ashcroft why they Justice Department did not hand over gun background check lists to the FBI for the various people in custody since the 9-11-01 tragedy.

The answer is very simple Ashcroft said. Because it would have been ILLEGAL to do so.


I did not see this exchange. Thanks for posting it. Seems I recall Bush prior to 911 saying gun background checks should be destroyed after a reasonable time.

Srex, #reply-16755530 I was laughing at Kennedy and this post to e.t. covers it. One concrete example of judgement used and the law was upheld. I love it when the other side proves the case.
