arafat should be eliminated, sounds like you agree

I don't care either way.. What I want from Arafat is for him to bargain in good faith, and to realize that "unleashing his dogs" until he gets everything his way, is going to turn around and bite him in the heinie.

I think the Israelis recognize that they have to create some form of Palestinian state, since they have already gone so far as to be committed to that ideal.

That's more than the Palestinians have every had before (and more than many other nationalistic groups like the Kurds, Copts, and many others have been denied in their respective lands). So they should agree to it, and under terms that gradually lead to both people developing better relations, economically and culturally.

As for Jews "always being hated" by some group or another, I would suggest that hatred is a learned behavior, as is racism and intolerance. People are people at their most basic level. They usually just want to live their lives and be let alone.

If these people want to fight, then let them fight it out in the marketplace, with consumers as the economic geography they are "fighting" over.

As for Jews in general, I refuse to permit myself to stereotype them, or any people. Sure there rich Jews, who control a lot of wealth, or powerful corporations. But there are a lot of poor ones also. And quite a few middle class ones.

I care more about what they say and do, than who they are.
