Fat Boy is not alone in this seeming paradox. These guys work their asses off and spend (other people's ) money by the boat load to get elected, then they are content to let bureaucrats and courts make the laws.

Ashcroft handled that perfectly also by saying that it is not his job, but he would certainly consider anything that the lawmakers (Kenedy did not seem to realize this was his job) brought to him. Fatboy must have thought that writing laws was the the job of the AG.
