re: High quality bond yields are surging

Let's look at the actual numbers, and compare Y2K to today:

stockcharts.com[w,a]maolnnmy[d19900101,20011227][pf]

Today, we are exactly where we were in 12/98. The 11/01 bottom in the 10Y T-note yield was almost exactly the same as the 10/98 low. So, the bond vigilantes and not "dumping long bonds something fierce" to any greater extent now than in December 1998.

Agreed, George. That's why I asked for his %age allocations.

Heck, if he's short the bonds, and the $......

AND/OR up to his eyeballs in the golds to hedge his exposure to dollar denominated stocks?

That's a horse of a different color.

Unless we know what positions he's talking, Jacob's posts could mean any number of different things. You know the way I evaluate other peoples posts.

WHERE'S THE BEEF??!!<g>
