Fred, in this "river of becoming" who claims to be the becomer? If there is no becomer there can be no becoming. "We can choose between fire and water" Who claims to be the chooser? If there is no chooser then no choice is possible. "I' has no need to become or to choose. Only the self needs to do those things. Whether we claim or dis-claim ownership of that self is more a matter of honesty than anything else.
