The fact that AMD and Intel made positive comments should add more fuel to the Nasdaq rally.
Any story stating that Intel is just taking market share from AMD would not have the same effect as revenues increasing for both companies. I am glad AMD also issued the release.
Stronger overall demand is good for the markets.

Otherwise we would have seen many of the bearish analysts just pointing to market share gains as a reason for Intel's higher revenue.
Now all I am looking forward to is the channel stuffing theories. <g>

I agree. That's what to expected IMO when you try to raise APS. It would be a tremendous achievement if AMD could both increase units and APS substantially but it's unlikely. My guess is that AMD will only sell a hundred thousand units or so more in Q4.

But I also guess I won our bet. ;-)
