Thanks for the reference. I wondered when someone was going to bring up John Walker. That name rings a bell. There was another Walker that was an American spy for the Ruskies I think?

I watched the Senate Hearing on baseball [proposed legislation to remove baseball's monopoly status]. When Bud Selig was answering questions [actually trying not to answer questions] I had this distinct feeling This guy is a crook along with the owners. The owners have provided the players union with some financial statements for the purpose of negotiating which were not provided to the Senate [which the players union says the Senate needs to see to understand how the financial system in baseball works]. The Senate members asked serveral times for copies of the financial statements and Selig kept on saying the Senate doesn't need to see them. How about releasing the Players Union from their confidentiality agreement for the hearing?...Selig: The Senate doesn't need to see those financial statements. Thoughtfull of Selig to not waste the Senators time looking at statements they don't need to see.
