They have not been able to flog her off on anybody. Even with half the product presold to India. I think the big fear was that the plant would get built only to get taken away by one worldly challenged group or other.

Too bad , I owned a wack of that puppy.

unfortunately CHL isn't one i follow, so i can't comment on the specific situation. however, as i've said, political risk in Africa is way over-rated. doing business in Africa successfully DOES of course require a certain savvy and nimbleness, and one has to allow for the occasional setback. but there are quite a few companies out there that have proven that it can be done.
