Legato Systems (LGTO) 11.28 -0.22: Before Open- H.C. Wainwright downgrades to NEUTRAL from Buy. Firm cite company's uncharacteristic accomodation to customers' requests for end of quarter discounts as a red flag, particularly as LGTO is increasingly reliant on direct sales to market back-up products. Further, Celestra sales indicate product is not catching on in mainstream market. OEM and reseller sales, which represent 60& of company's license business, are also down.

Symantec (SYMC) 67.02 -2.22: Before Open- Legg Mason downgrades to MARKET PERFORM from Buy based solely on valuation. Valuation metrics show SYMC fairly valued, but firm believes company's turn toward enterprise-focused business model changes the playing field and makes historical metrics, as well as peer group comparisons, misleading. Legg Mason will look for sequential growth in SYMC's enterprise security business.
