Sigh... I can see that idiot is at it again.

As you point out Intel makes a lot more than just processors. Intel is still the largest chipset maker by far. That means that for every Intel processor there are usually 2 more chipset die. So if Intel produced 27 million processors they probably produced 50 million chipset die.

Then there's Xeon and iTanium and StrongArm and a whole host of embedded processors. Network chips, ethernet, DSL, IXP, on and on.

BTW, 145 GDPW is way too high for P4 given the die size.
