Either the retailers are wrong or the public is wrong but you walk into any kind of computer store, from Sam's to Comp USA and there are one or two athlons and a lot of P4's on display. Maybe the white box guys are wrong too and they are using P4's.

Both companies are targeting that group. If you have a chance, go to one of the AMD RoadShows. Yes, it is a dog and pony show, but you see AMD going after these guys with a passion. AMD has a fairly comprehensive support system, and supplies training, information and other stuff.
