What happened to HAL? Is the 30 mill liability the only thing knocking the stock down? They have 330 mill in cash alone on the balance sheet - but the stock is down 35%!

Here are the financials. Could be a good buy.

In one were to assume a $5 bln net liability for co over the next 10 yrs, the net present value of this liability would equate to roughly $5.40 per share.




12:32 ET Halliburton (HAL) 13.88 -6.97 (7%): --Update-- Stock downgraded to Neutral from Buy at Salomon Smith Barney following sizeable asbestos ruling against company. While firm believes stock currently discounts massive asbestos liabilities, the specter of lawsuits spiraling out of control is likely to negatively impact stock performance for the foreseeable future.
