Pravin, Re: I think your CPG increase is too high.

AMD had processor sales of $661 million in Q1 of this year. Yesterday they said: As a result, PC processor revenues, in the aggregate, are expected to exceed the previous record set in the first quarter of the year on record units. So it must be higher than $661 in Q4 unless AMD is lying or the outlook turns out to be wrong. Maybe the problem is flash: flash memory sales now expected to be no better than flat. That could mean anything from a 0% decline to a 100% decline.

RE:"My crystal ball says that Monday is going to be down right ugly (possibly delayed by the capture of Thing 1 or Thing 2 -- Omar, or Bin Laden, that is)."

Quite possible. If they kill Bin Laden they have to rebuild a new EVIL (or remake the good old Saddam). Perturbing...

Gottfried

PS: On a second thought, we both have INTC-put... so it will rise...

Pravin, Re: <My crystal ball says that Monday is going to be down right ugly>

Your prediction on AMD was right on, and Louis Rukeyser took the night off -- and you *KNOW* what than portends!

Plus, we're getting into the pre-announcement season for real.

Brrrr
