Molly's just burnishing her image as the anti-Texas Texan. She's the fat, homely girl who never got invited to the prom, and she's capitalized on that. Personally, I give her credit for making something of nothing (herself). Politically, of course, she's still a walking zero, but it's a big club...

Good question. I agree that her motives are not good. If they were she would examine the issues instead of attacking Ashcroft's character.
