Cax,

<< Want to put some money where your mouth is Eric? How about a bet on 1X vs. GPRS take up in the US? >>

What money? Over 20% of my port is in the Q dog.

Well ... upon consideration and properly structured (the bet or bets) ... I'd be delighted to consider that. <g>

.... and by properly structured I mean that it won't be structured around 1X vs. GPRS (per se) in the US. It would be about GSM v. CDMA, and we would structure any bet around ARPU or churn or sub growth or data revenue or whatever, and I'm not adverse to putting some bets on other regions of the world.

Now as for stakes, I'm not a quillionaire, so it would be along the lines of how I wager at golf. I'm a $5 Nassau or $1 Skins type, and often do a bottle of decent wine or malt or cognac on a football game. Golf wise I always make sure I get my hard earned strokes, and football wise I get the line.

How does this strike your fancy ...

... the rate of growth of GSM in the US will be greater than CDMA in the US in 2002: the stake a flagon of Usquebach (v. your comparably priced poison)?

And/or ...

... the rate of growth of GSM in the Central & Latin America will be greater than CDMA in that region in 2002: the stake a Fifth of Macallan 18 (v. your comparably priced poison)?

So we can talk ...
