one thing that amazes me is that Capellas didn't give an indication about the current quarter profitability. That could have changed the result of the vote. Amazes but not surprises me given his lack of ability to install any confidence in shareholders. Sales are almost definitely going to be higher than estimates. All he needed to do is come out and say :we're going to break even in the current quarter or even make a couple of pennies. He should also assure investors that this company will return to profitability and that his restructuring is showing results. The stock would have rallied big time if he said that. The reason that the stock trades so low is that a lot of people are convinced that Compaq is in a death spiral. Capellas hasn't been able to dispell that myth. Personally I don't think they are in a death spiral but so far Capellas' lack of leadership and poor results hasn't helped the stock price.

Under normal condition, this company has the potential to be a $30 stock, easily.

Ditto!
