I started out on punch cards

And I thought you were old <vbg>
I started out on an abacus. Well, actually, our first computer used a ticker tape and ran on our old friends the ifthen goto brothers. That was 25 yrs ago when most of these kids were pups. Punch cards were a move up a few years later in college.

I still get nightmares from my introductory FORTRAN class after I learned BASIC in high school.
That class scared me out of becoming a programmer even though I won a class prize for my FORTRAN baseball game program...
