"and that trashing the Constitution is a poor way to secure our future"

Again, I would like to ask what you specifically feel is being done to "trash" the constitution. That's a pretty strong allegation. And on the surface I agree with you. Don't want anyone "trashing" the constitution. Saying that it IS being trashed when it is not is what gets my goat.

The current assertions or arguments that suggest the some threat to civil liberties are based upon the proffer that having a power means it will be used for evil. Thus police should be stripped of guns as a policeman could use this weapon to violate the civil rights of another. In this situation of war I as do 85% of the most informed Americans believe a correct balance is in place.

The links to Cato do not suggest they support the position of Tax Cheating site you posted originally.

As I said, My facts reported express what Americans who can read and write and know how to use a computer say the President has found the right balance of protection for America. You can cite all the lefty strain at a nat loons. But the American people know the truth.

They've found the right balance between preserving civil liberties and protecting Americans from terrorism.

85% 25 thousand understand this vs 4500 who don't have clue.
