Joe I have the BEFSR41 Linksys running 3 puters on Road Runner no extra cost. works great, My computer is passworded like yours but not by choice (See previous posts) And the reason I asked about more Ram for my laptop is so I could update the laptop to Win2000 for file sharing over the network, With a measley 32 meg I am sure it will not run win 2000 well. I did order another 128meg from one of the sites suggested ...

Hi JB,

Thanks for the info. I have the BEFSR41 V.2. It may not have the most advanced security features, but it gives me four ports and doesn't require that I monkey around with it a lot.

Since you are running ZoneAlarm I will try that, too. I wouldn't want to be uploading something without knowing about it. I just got rid of a bunch of spyware and I want to defend myself a little better.
