Cax,

<< you got a six month head start! >>

What 6 month head start?

Are you trying to sandbag or what?

CDG's unimpeachable "3G Fact Sheet" clearly states that ALLTEL, Verizon, and PCS will all commercially launch 1xRTT service this quarter and Horizon launched last quarter, and you say PCS and VZ will launch nation wide rather than regionally and you've been telling me for 3 years that "GSM is Toast!", and heck there is just a tiny GSM user base here to day to start from.

<< Want to put some money where your mouth is Eric? >>

My offer will stand till midnight December 31, 2001.

... the rate of growth of GSM in the US will be greater than CDMA in the US in 2002: the stake a flagon of Usquebach (v. your comparably priced poison)?

And/or ...

... the rate of growth of GSM in the Central & Latin America will be greater than CDMA in that region in 2002: the stake a Fifth of Macallan 18 (v. your comparably priced poison)?

I mean how can GSM carriers - several still converting IS-136 to GSM - withstand the onslaught of a technology like 1xRTT.

God Send Mobiles! ... and get me through these interoperability issues, and give me a 1xRTT handset I can use in Europe or EMEA.

"GSM was almost Toast!".
