Juniper Ntwks (JNPR) 25.58 -1.33: Frost Securities initiated coverage with a Strong Buy rating and price target of $40. Although near-term revenue growth for Juniper is likely to remain a function of market growth, firm believes Juniper is likely to remain a key beneficiary of IP expansion and new builds by the domestic and international incumbent service providers and is likely to see solid long-term revenue and earnings growth, thereby allowing it to maintain a premium to its growth rate and its peer group. Firm expects the market for IP infrastructure to expand by more than 20% to 25% over the next several years with a return to growth beginning in 2003.






Sonus Networks (SONS) 6.98 +0.80: Stock up 13% on comments in Pacific Crest research note this morning. According to firm, rumors are beginning to swirl that SONS will be part of a $4.1 bln Sprint deal.






Tellium (TELM) 7.85 -0.70: SoundView Technology downgraded to HOLD from Buy amid concerns that rumored Deutsche Telekom contract has been pushed back to 2002.
