John, what's different: 1. Much more cash. 2. The great majority of the business has nothing to do with asbestos. 3. Great lawyers. 4. The Vice President of the United States. 5. Major defense contractor. Remember all the times Lockheed wasn't allowed to go under? 6. A bill in Congress that could finally get some notice before much of corporate America goes Chapter 11. 7. The top co. in a highly competitive, strategically vital intl. business. #2 is not American. If we won't let the stinko airlines go under, how can we not rescue Hal? If they need it, which I doubt. 8. A long history of paying pennies on the dollar of jury grants.

IMHO, these trials are a cloud over HAL. But they won't take them down. Please do not look up any of my FMO posts. <G>

Well...management has steadfastly maintained that it's insurance will cover most of it's potential liabilities. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. At 12 anyway -g- Cutting almost half the market cap in one day over a 30 million judgement seems a little over done to me.
Remember...this is HUGE company with BILLIONS in assets -vbg-
