New thing going around, called credit risk, counterparty risk, Enron, shaky insurance companies and financial institutions. All these elements are counterintuitive as to why someone like Buffet would purchase a hard asset, as he's in deep already on all the financial soft assets. Makes no sense to buy this kind of asset and then turn around and loan for a nominal return to lord knows who. But then, hey, that's why he's Warren Buffet, what do I know? What he does here, might be an important indicator.
