To All, Sports report. 1. My bunker office sharing buddy, Dave, will probably still be hung over on Monday morning after his LSU team won the SEC championship. I confess. I thought they had nothing after they lost their third conference game to Ole Miss. But, they proved that if you play in the weaker part of a mega conference, peak at the end of the season, and don't have to face Florida again, you have a chance.

2. Hawaii did a real job on Brigham Young. It is now Brigham Old and In The Way. <g> So, I did some checking to see who had pinned three defeats on this June Jones coached monster. Great teams like our local Rice Owls, Nevada and Boise State. But, with the exception of Boise State, which was a damned good team in its own right, the losses came very early in the season. So, Hawaii goes 8-3, beats two ranked teams (Fresno State was the other one) and sees nary a bowl offer. Hmmmm!

3. Horse races have a way of humbling you even when you win. I bet 25 races last night between simulcast and live. I won exactly two of them. But I won big on those. And I won for the night. However, the BCS called and said that with my 2-23 record, I didn't even make the Tidy Bowl. <g>
