"NG, You & some others are making too big a thing about this, IMO. Just ask Paul on the Intel thread. He'll be glad to tell you to within a million or so what the scoop is.
For my own current guess, AMD's numbers come out to a loss of around $0.14/share with break even around $970M not including charges or credits."

Hey I'll be impressed with a 10% increase revenues to $850 million in q4 and record PC processor units shipped and record PC processor revenues, particularly the record PC processor revenues and units shipped when compared to its major competitor's likely q4 Pc processor performance, despite the enormous marketing P4 push over the past 6 months. (I never expected such outstanding q4 PC processor strength from AMD (and obviously nor did the market)given the "lock out" (for whatever reason) by NA OEM's...Bodes awfully well for the AMD's future particularly when AMD kicks down the NA barrier (not mentioning any names, here) to entry and when flash strengthens, both of which may occur very, very soon...

Just in passing, the record PC units and revenues by AMD in q4 should be compared to INTC's performance against their record PC init and revenues to get a glimpse of what is really happenning in the PC marketplace...There is a major transition taking place and Paul is missing it (He's incapable of seeing it)!!!
