I disagree. In Intel-speak to be capacity constrained means inability to supply high end chips in sufficient quantity.

The large P4 die plus the unexpected demand left Intel flat footed.

The current "capacity constrained" scenario is no different from the previous, in 2000, when Intel was unable to deliver enough competitive Coppermines.

Exactly. And that was a gift to AMD.

I expect Northwood to regain the lead Willamette lost to Athlon XP, and when it happens, Intel will have sufficient supply of the high end chips, and the "problem" will disappear.
