Your response picked the last line of my post and ignored everything before. 1. Your use of the term the the masses is reminiscent of the Communist commissars who were so much more intelligent, insightful, and comprehending than everyone else and knew just what they needed shoved down their throats. Oh, and did such a good job of padding their own nests in the process, just like the rotten grasping capitalists they are so scornful of. 2. And how is it that the British masses are so much more intelligent than their American brethren? These are the same clowns who made Britain "the sick man of Europe" until Margaret Thatcher slapped them up the side of the head, right? 3. And I'm not saying Europeans and others have contributed nothing to science and technology; clearly they have made major, important contributions. But have you noticed these idiot Americans have been dominant for the last half century?
