Dougak's limited views on Warren Buffet & South Africa

Russ,

No specifics here by me, very general comments.

To me Warren Buffet = the long view = years & years "out there"
almost as if he is investing as a young man in his 20s for his retiremint
at age 99+ (or) an inherience nestegg for his children or other favorite focus.

If so might Warren Buffet calculate that doing something that
will seem like a bad business decision money wise short term
as in months of a year or two be an ok thing to do if much later
as in 5 years or greater it will produce a result better than one
would be if today's action were 180 degrees to that questioned decision.

Babble'mania this talk seems to be by me, but as in the South Africa
talk about postive and negative forces running in parallel today
might a Warren Buffet long term approach apply as in buying what
seems to be available today at prices that suggest doom & gloom
events might destroy business structures, but as in mining the
dirt in the ground remains unchanged leading a possible play
that a Warren Buffet long play semi-high-crazy speculative approach
might be a good way to invest gambleing type cash.

Not sure, but another side of Mary's comments about Warren Buffet's
possible talk with government folks in black suits that arrive at
his humble home in a black hello-chopper might also include
not so mulch an warning but a "deal" that if he does thise dumb
business move that he will be rewarded later via corrupt government
actions by the same black suited men ;o)
