Before I mentioned the "Christ" in Jesus, I also mentioned the "Christ" in Jefferson. Leaving this earth with one of the most valued documents known by mankind . Their could be a case for him being somewhat annointed , though i'm sure he was not interested in creating such a fabulous mystique for himself. Was there a Biblical Prophecy concerning Thomas Jefferson? or Albert Einstein ? " by their acts ye shall know them " I would hope there was , for they both helped to change the entire landscape of mankind <g> I have always inderstood that the rise of great minds and lives well~lived are so rare , as for there to be a greek word "Christos", or the annointed one created for them. Yet there is also the philological derivative that would describe the meaning of the word "Christos" "as that which appeareth from no apparent source or seed " Or as one from heaven sent, miraculously into your midst...it as an even older translation you might not have been aware. Yes there was Christ in Jefferson as there was Christ in Jesus . Exceptional men , teachers and great minds and spirits . Lives well lived.
