I don't dislike Bud Selig but I do question his leadership ability. It seems to me that someone needs to get the owners to realize that baseball, in its current form, has lost its luster. Sure each year we seem to get a player or two that provide an interesting story of heroics but overall I think the sport is losing its appeal. Now part of that has to do with the fact that I'm a Brewer fan and we haven't been competitive for many years. But if we look beyond that I think many would agree that the game needs TRUE revenue sharing so that all clubs can benefit from greater national exposure. I admit watching the Yanks in the series this year was cool - almost patriotic in a way. The downside is that the sport can't continue to have 3 or 4 major market teams that dominate the big game while the others act as their farm clubs. Selig has a vested interest in revenue sharing which may actually weaken his ability to pull any meaningful changes off.
