right, I hear what you're saying (but bringing in EMA when we were talking SMA is making my head hurt ;-) heck if I know whether we've started a new bull phase or not... if I had to take a side, I'd say "not". the only thing I can say w/ any certainty is that we will retest the 50dma in many of the indices (SPX and SOX to name 2)... I'd be more certain to say it will be in the next month if it weren't for seasonal factors... OTOH, seasonals might help to narrow a timeframe more specifically... say, mid-Dec or very early Jan.
